AVODAH - NEW for Summer 2015 -

A 2 week program focused on servant hood through study of the Word and practical application in the camp setting.

Avodah (pronounced ah-vo-DAH) is a Hebrew word meaning both to work and to worship. This term is rooted in the biblical teaching that all of life should be lived as a spiritual act of worship for God’s glory. There is no division between "work time", "play time" and "God time", everything we do is both in His presence, and for His glory.

Students entering 11th or 12th grade who join the Avodah program will come together in a small community to explore what Christ calls us all to - servant leadership.

As a separate group within the whole camp, we will study what God has to say about putting others first and leading from behind. We will spend time each day in hands on service - working and cleaning around the camp, as well as learning from other camp staff as we shadow areas such as Recreation Staff, Counselors and Craft Staff.
Along with some great times around the campfire, offsite trips, and classic camp fun, campers in this program can expect to be challenged in their Faith as they seek to live out the words of Jesus;

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:26-28)

Max-X

This is for the camper who wants to do it all!! Each day you sign up for a new activity or spend more time on the same activity, the choice is yours. Some of the activities to choose from: Zip Line, Beach, Riflery, Archery, Basketball, Tennis, Tie-Dye and more. F.Y.I: any Max-X camper wanting to do a trail ride will have to sign up in advance and pay a nominal $10 fee. Spaces will be limited to a first come, first served basis.

Horsemanship

Spend between 2 and 2 1/2 hours each day learning to take care of horses while enjoying arena lessons and horsemanship theory in our CHA certified program. No matter what level of horse experience if you like spending time with horses and riding this is the camp for you. All Horsemanship Campers have the option to trail ride at no additional charge.

Ranch Hand

The ranch hand program is an INVITATION ONLY week long adventure where you will spend the majority of your summer camp experience assisting the wranglers in their everyday tasks. Assist in teaching horse lessons to beginner levels. Help prepare horses for trail rides. Get the experience of how a working barn is run including general care, feeding & cleaning up after the horses.

WaterSports

Hit the lake each afternoon and enjoy group lessons from the professionals at Action Water Sports. No matter your skill level, if you ski, wake board, or knee board this is one week of camp you won’t forget.

Worship Arts

Whether you are an instrumentalist or vocalist spend the week with our worship leader. Campers will spend time learning about the differences between performance and leading worship, learning to play together and helping to lead worship for your fellow campers.

Digital Photography

Bring your digital camera and capture your summer camp experience for all to see. Each camper receives instruction and assignments each day as we explore this powerful story telling medium.

Adventure Camp

Hit the hiking trails and canoe the river on this epic outdoor adventure challenge. Sleeping in rustic cabins (Pine Slope) and in tents while offsite, this is a week of camp to remember. We follow leave no trace principals. Adventure Camp runs a completely separate schedule from other campers and as such cannot be cabin mates with non-Adventure Camp campers.
