Dear CranHill Campground and Cottage Friends,
It is with great sadness that I am writing this email to you today. If you’re like me you’ve been looking forward to coming to CranHill for your stay. Well, that stay is, unfortunately, going to have to wait just a little while longer.
Yesterday, Governor Whitmer announced that the Stay-At-Home order will remain in effect until May 28th. With this order, she has essentially required CranHill’s Campgrounds and Cottage Rentals to remain closed until at least May 28th. As difficult as this is for us, we rejoice because as a Christian organization we get to represent Christ in honoring the authorities over us (Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13).
Believe me, we really want to be open, and we really want you here. We not only desperately need the revenue, but we simply love the ministry that happens while you’re here. You’re not just like family… you are family.
You are entitled to a full refund without cancellation fees because we are required to cancel your reservation.
You may choose one of the following options:

DONATE your received payments to CranHill to help support the current financial needs of this ministry. In this case, you will receive a tax receipt for 100% of the funds donated and you can then make another reservation for a future date.

REBOOK your received payment for a future date during the 2020 camping season. In this case, we would love to help you find another date this summer.

REFUND Your received payment will be 100% refunded to you. Refunds will be processed within two weeks of your reservation date and credited back to your credit card or sent by check.
If you choose Option 1 or Option 3, we will process your request and you will receive the proper communication showing your donation or your refund.
If you choose Option #2, we will give you a phone call to assist your rebooking. Or feel free to give us a call during normal office hours at your convenience.
We are still planning to open the campground and cottages this season just as soon as we can. Please stay tuned to our website and social media for further updates. You might also want to catch a new weekly update video called “The Porch.”

Dust off your boots and prepare for an extraordinary summer camp adventure with our Horsemanship Program! Tailored for horse enthusiasts of all experience levels, this program is your ticket to igniting your passion for these magnificent creatures.
Throughout each exhilarating day, campers will find themselves immersed in the world of horses at our barn. Here, you'll gain valuable knowledge of riding techniques, master the art of tacking, and unravel the mysteries behind equine behavior.
But that's not all! Our Horsemanship campers will also enjoy an inclusive experience by participating in exciting activities, games, and chapel sessions alongside the main camp. It's a unique opportunity to blend the best of both worlds and create unforgettable memories. So, saddle up and join us for a summer camp experience like no other!
The Horsemanship program is available in Ignite (7-10), Fuel (10-13), and Momentum (13-17) camps and is dependent on what ages are attending main camp for the same week.
For our Momentum (13–17) aged campers we will also be offering a Horsemanship Immersion Camp which will focus primarily on extended time with our horses and digging deeper into the program. Space in these camp sessions fills quickly so please register early to guarantee yourself a spot this summer!

Momentum Campers delve into the art and science of horsemanship. Each day, our experienced wranglers impart valuable riding skills and theory to our campers. Whether they are taking their very first ride or have already accumulated countless hours in the saddle, our team is dedicated to helping them enhance their riding skills!
Plus, Weeks 4, 6, and 7 come with an exciting overnight camping trip to the CranHill Outpost, adding an extra layer of adventure to the experience.
For our Momentum campers seeking an even deeper horse connection, we offer a specialized Horsemanship Immersion week. This immersive experience focuses extensively on working with our horses, providing a unique opportunity to deepen their bond with these magnificent animals while setting aside our regular camp activities. Typically registration starts at 4PM on Sunday, and pick up is at 2pm on Friday.
Please be sure to throughly read all email communications regarding your camp, as pick up and drop off times may differ for some specialty camps!
WHEN IS PICK UP?

Campers do not carry cash!
All campers turn in spending money during registration or before.
This allows campers not to have to carry cash, eliminates the possibility of theft, and simplifies the process for our store staff.
Campers may purchase store items or donate to our summer missions fund from their account.
Parents can send camp store money ahead of time or deposit at registration.
You can add to your camper's store money account through your ONLINE CAMP ACCOUNT, via phone, or with a check.

When you come to registration, there will be a place for you to leave mail that will be delivered each day of the week. Campers can also send mail home!
Please send pre-stamped and
pre-addressed envelopes if your child desires to write letters home.
You can also send emails that we will print and deliver to your camper, if you selected the option to do so at the time of sign up.
In case of emergency, parents will be notified.
