PEAK FAMILY PROGRAM SEASON (June 14 – August 15)

CranHill offers complete services and a full schedule of activities throughout the week including horsemanship, target sports, adventure sports, crafts, and aquatic activities. The Store and Game Room are open extended hours for guests to enjoy! Also offered are FREE BONUS activities, evening programs, ministry opportunities and more.

PARTIAL FAMILY PROGRAM SEASON (May 22 – June 13) AND (August 16 – September 6)

Cran-Hill offers limited services and a partial schedule of activities throughout the week. The Store and Game Room will have standard hours throughout the week. Specific hours and activities will be determined by the number of guests and availability of staff.

$46 - Full Hook-Up Sites (Water / 30 AMP / Sewer)

$36 - Tent Sites (no water / electric)

PRE & POST SEASONS (PRE: April 24 – May 21) - (POST: September 7 – 30)

CranHill offers very limited services and activities during this season. The Store and Game Room will be closed mid-week, and have limited hours on the weekends. Specific hours and activities will be determined by the number of guests and availability of staff.

OFF SEASON (October 1, 2018 - April 18, 2019)

CranHill will provide no services or activities during this season. The Store and Game Room may have limited hours depending on the needs of our Retreat Ministry.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 4 OR MORE NIGHTS

    • Cancellations made prior to May 1, 2020 - 50% of deposit refunded to you.

    • If 100% payment is not received by May 1, 2020 – Entire deposit will be forfeited, reservation will be cancelled, and the campsite will be re-opened for other reservations.

    • Cancellations made May 1, 2020 or after – 50% of total fees refunded to you.

    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to reservation – 0% of total fees refunded to you.

  • 3 OR LESS NIGHTS

    • Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to reservation – 75% refunded to you

    • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to reservation – 50% refunded to you

    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to reservation – 0% refunded to you

RESERVATION CHANGES & EARLY DEPARTURES

  • WEEK-LONG RESERVATIONS

    • Week-Long discount (ONE FREE NIGHT) is intended to bless one specific household. Therefore, week-long reservations are not transferable to other parties, nor may they be split between two parties.

    • Week-Long Reservations may be moved from one week to a different week within the same calendar year, without penalty.

    • Any other reservation change (cancellation or reduction of dates) will be considered a FULL CANCELLATION, with the cancellation policy applicable (see above).

  • PARTIAL WEEK RESERVATIONS

    • Reservations may be moved from one date to a different date within the same calendar year, keeping the same number of days booked, without penalty.

    • Any reduction of dates or early departure will be considered a cancellation of those nights, with the cancellation policy applicable (see above).

  • GUEST RATES

    • Per Michigan State Law, no more than 8 individuals permitted on a campsite.

  • DAY GUESTS & VISITORS

    • All Day Guests and Visitors must check in upon arrival at the Office or Barn Store, and will be charged a Day Use Fee of $2.00/person or $8.00/vehicle.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • GUEST IDENTIFICATION

    • In order to ensure the safety of our youth campers, family campers, and retreat groups, all guests and visitors will receive an identification wristband upon arrival. Wristbands are REQUIRED to be worn by all campsite occupants for the entire length of your stay. Thank you for helping us keep our campers safe!

  • CHECK-IN

    • After 4:00 PM. Please check-in at the office upon arrival. After 5pm on Friday, check in at the camp store.

  • CHECK-OUT

    • 2:00 PM. Departures after 2:00 PM will be charged an extra day.

  • QUIET HOURS

    • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • CAMPSITE AMENITIES 

    • Every campsite includes 30amp Electric Service, Water hook-up, Picnic Table, and Fire pit.

  • INTERNET

    • Wireless internet is available throughout various areas of the campground.

  • FIREWOOD

    • Firewood is available for $5.00 per bundle at the Wood Shed, located on the north side of the beach bathhouse.  Wagons are provided for hauling wood - please return them immediately for other guests.  Due to the spread of disease and insects, please do not bring your own wood—purchase it here!  All proceeds support the ministry of CranHill!

  • LAUNDRY

    • Coin operated washers and dryers are located at the south end of the Barn Store. A change machine is also available. Detergent is available at the Barn Store.

  • TRASH & RECYCLING

    • Dumpsters are available near the campgrounds and Barn Store for you to dispose of your garbage.  Do NOT dump trash in Rest Rooms.  Dumpsters are scheduled to be emptied on Thursday mornings. CranHill encourages recycling.  There are bottle/can recycle bins located inside the Barn Store. Please help keep our grounds as clean as possible!

  • LAWN MOWING

    • Maintenance crews plan to mow grass in the campgrounds on Wednesday afternoons, weather permitting.  Thank you for your patience as we care for our property!

  • AIR COMPRESSOR

    • An air compressor is located at the Wood Shed for your convenience to fill up vehicle tires, bicycle tires, balls, etc.

  • MAIL

    • Outgoing mail may be deposited at the Office.  Mail is picked up daily (except Sundays).

  • BOAT & TRAILER PARKING

    • Boat trailers may be parked in the RV/Boat Storage area east of Bayview Pavilion.  Please do not park on grass areas, unoccupied lots, or in front of Bayview Pavilion, as this is often used for groups.

  • PAVILIONS

    • There are several pavilions available for use. Choose from Ridgeview Pavilion or Bayview Pavilion, or for those staying at the Retreat Center campground, a small pavilion is available. Reservations can be made at the Office. There is no cost to reserve a pavilion for groups camping with us.

  • EMERGENCY

    • Call ‘911’ if immediate medical or fire assistance is needed.  For all other emergencies, contact the Campground Host or call the Office at (231) 796-7669.

  • AED

    • In case of emergency, an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) is located in the Laundry Room at the Barn Store.

  • MEDICAL CARE

    • The closest hospital is Mecosta County Medical Center, 605 Oak Street, Big Rapids, (231) 796-8691.  Maps are available at the Office and Barn Store.

  • SEVERE WEATHER

    • In case of severe weather, a siren will be sounded from the Office.  The lower level of the Barn Store (Game Room) will be available for shelter.

 
  • LOT LIMITS

    • Per Michigan State Law, no more than 8 individuals permitted on a campsite.

    • Per Michigan State Law, a maximum of TWO sleeping units are allowed per campsite (ONE trailer with ONE sleeping tent; or TWO sleeping tents).  This does not include a dining canopy. 

 

  • VEHICLES

    • A maximum of two vehicles are allowed per campsite.  Additional vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas, such as the Barn Store.  Do not park on open grass areas, unoccupied campsites, or facility parking areas.

 

  • PETS

    • Pets must be on a leash at all times.

    • Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets.  A clean-up fee may be charged to guests who leave pet waste on their campsite or around the grounds.

    • Pets are NOT to be left unattended at any time.

    • Pets are NOT permitted in any of the Ranch buildings.

    • Pets are NOT permitted on the porch of the Barn Store.

    • Pets are NOT permitted at the beach area – on the sand, in the swim areas, or in the boating areas.

    • Please be respectful of other guests as you take your pet with you around the property, to activity areas, etc…  Remember that not all people are comfortable with pets.

 

  • ALCOHOL, FIREWORKS, AND FIREARMS

    • Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted on CranHill property.

    • Fireworks are NOT permitted on CranHill property. 

    • Firearms are NOT permitted on CranHill property. 

    • Personal target sport equipment is NOT permitted on CranHill property.

 

  • SMOKING

    • Smoking is discouraged on CranHill property.

    • Smoking is NOT permitted in or around all CranHill buildings.

    • Smoking is NOT permitted in the presence or proximity of youth campers.

    • Guests desiring to smoke are encouraged to find a place away from other guests and campers, such as inside their camping unit, or other secluded areas.

 

  • DRESS CODE

    • As a Christian facility for youth and families, it is important to provide a safe environment for all our guests.  Therefore, CranHill requests that guests dress modestly while on grounds. Appropriate swimwear is requested at the waterfront.  One-piece suits that have full coverage are preferred. Clothing should not have inappropriate images or language. Clothing should adequately cover the body and any undergarments.  Guests are not permitted into buildings without shirts and shoes. CranHill reserves the right to have a guest change their clothing if deemed to be immodest or offensive.

 

  • RECREATIONAL VEHICLES & POWERED RIDE-ON TOYS

    • ATV’s, Motorcycles, Motorized Scooters, Golf Carts, Motorized or Battery-powered ride-on toys, or other personal utility vehicles are NOT permitted on CranHill property, unless licensed for road travel.  Licensed recreational vehicles may drive on main roads only when necessary, but not for recreational use. All trails are for foot or bicycle travel only.

 

  • BOATS & PERSONAL WATERCRAFT

    • Cranberry Lake is a no-wake lake with limited access. 

    • Personal boats and watercraft are permitted on both Hillview Lake and Cranberry Lake. 

    • Hillview Lake is an all-sports lake with a boat ramp conveniently located 0.5 mile east of CranHill.

    • Personal boats and watercraft are not permitted at the CranHill beach or boating areas.  

    • Boats are not permitted to park overnight on the CranHill Beach or boating areas on Hillview Lake

    • Small boats (rowboats, canoes, kayaks, etc.) may be pulled up on shore near the Boat & Trailer Parking Area. Other boats need to be removed from the water and parked in the Boat & Trailer Parking Area.

    • Boat trailers must be parked entirely on a reserved campsite, or in the designated Boat & Trailer Parking Area.  Do not park on open grass areas, unoccupied campsites, or in facility parking areas.
