Being a mom is hard! It can be difficult trying to juggle so many things and then find time to connect with your kids. That is why the Ranch is hosting a special retreat designed and built for mom’s to have quality intentional time with their daughters.


We will take care of the cooking, cleaning, and activities and you can bring your daughters to laugh, play, and connect which builds a lasting legacy. Be challenged through God’s Word, worship together and grow that special relationship with your daughter during this amazing retreat.

Available to all moms with daughters 7 to 17.

$115/Mom and $95/daughter

Meet Lee Nienhuis!

Lee Nienhuis is an author and passionate Bible teacher. She is on the national speaking team for Moms in Prayer International and the Co-host of The Martha and Mary Show. Her books, Brave Moms, Brave Kids (2018) and Countercultural Parenting (2020), published by Harvest House, have helped countless parents gain a biblical perspective on parenting a godly and countercultural generation.

Lee’s writing and speaking have been featured on Focus on the Family broadcast and magazine; True Woman; Proverbs 31, Hearts at Home, Iron Sharpens Iron conferences; GEMS Girls Clubs; and American Heritage Girls. Lee shares a dynamic vision for the next generation of Christ followers.

Lee is an inductive Bible study teacher who leads a Bible training program for Women’s Ministry leaders in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. While she travels extensively, home is her favorite place to be.

Lee and her husband, Mike, have been married 22 years. They have four great kids and live at Grace Adventures, a Christian Camp and Conference Center in West Michigan where her husband serves as the Director of Facilities and Maintenance for three campuses. Mike and Lee have four great kids who make her need Jesus.

Lee loves hot cups of coffee, laughing till her sides ache, and Jesus.

1. Lee’s favorite food is Mexican food and considers chips and salsa her best-case scenario.

2. Lee’s an adoptive mom whose oldest daughter was born in Guatemala.

3. Her crazy accent is a blend of mid-west and Texan drawl because her family is from AusEn, Texas.


4. Lee’s can’t pass go or even talk without a cup of coffee in the morning.

5. Lee loves to read. Books, magazines, cereal boxes. It’s nearly compulsive.

Happy the Dog Ministry partners with Christian organizations in leading meaningful worship experiences which both bring people to Christ and nurture that lifelong relationship. We work with churches, schools, camps, retreats, and any other Christ-centered organization.


Their Team is made up of gifted speakers, and praise and worship leaders who are committed to serving the Lord while serving others.


Happy the Dog’s official Bible verse for the ministry is Acts 4:20 - “As for us, we cannot not keep quiet about the things we have seen and heard.” We would love the pleasure in joining with you in “not keeping quiet”.
